Abstrakt

Esej primárně vychází z článku Well Beiing and Problematic Facebook Use (Satici & Uysal, 2015), který byl publikován v časopise Computers in Human Behavior. Cílem výzkumu bylo ověřit vztah nadužívání nových médií, v tomto případě Facebooku, a subjektivního vnímání kvality života. Autoři docházejí k závěru, že lidé, kteří mají horší subjektivní vnímání vlastního života, vykazují větší závislost na Facebooku. Tato esej sumarizuje článek a zasazuje ho do kontextu.

Essay is primarily based on the article Well Beiing and Problematic Use Facebook (Satici & Uysal, 2015), which was published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior. The aim of the research was to examine relationship between overusing of new media, in this case Facebook, and the subjective perception of quality of life – well beiing. Authors conclude that people who have lower values of well beiing are more dependent on Facebook. This essay summarizes the paper and puts it in the context.
