Proměna postavení SMS v komunikačních zvyklostech na příkladu dánské a české mládeže

Abstrakt

Práce uvažuje o centrálním postavení systému krátkých zpráv SMS v sociální komunikaci a proměnou tohoto postavení v poslední době. Zvyk psát a zasílat SMS dává do kontrastu s komunikací v prostředí Facebooku. Nejprve představuje studii “It’s just not that exciting anymore”: The changing centrality of SMS in the everyday lives of young Danes., kterou zpracovali Troels Fibæk Bertel a Rich Ling, jejich práce polemizuje s možností re-domestikace psaní SMS zpráv, se změnou jejich významu a s tím, že tato technologie nachází mezi uživateli nové uplatnění.  Dále následuje zhodnocení a krátký na studii navazující kvantitativní výzkum.

Abstract

This paper considers the centrality of short messages system SMS in a social communication and its recent change. The habit of SMS texting is discussed with a communication on Facebook. At first it offers a summary of a research by Troels Fibæk Bertel a Rich Ling “It’s just not that exciting anymore”: The changing centrality of SMS in the everyday lives of young Danes. Their study argues that SMS texting is becoming re-domesticated, its meaning changing, and the technology finding new position in the communication repertoires of its users. The paper is then accompanied by a short discussion of the study and a brief quantitative research.
