Cenzura Internetu v Turecku: aktuální situace a její pokrytí v českých denících

Abstract
This seminar essay fouses on censorship of websites in Turkey. It summarises an academic article and adds a brief research in a context of the Czech Republic. Firstly, the essay goes through the article Legitimisation of the role of the nation state: Understanding of and reactions to Internet censorship in Turkey. It is a qualitative analysis of the environment where sites such as YouTube and others are increasingly being banned. The article examines, how the citizen-consumers understand current situation and describes which kind of resistance do they use. The second part of this essay is focused on Czech media environment. It investigates how often do Czech daily newspapers inform about the Internet censorship in Turkey. Also, a selection of the most important pieces of news related to the situation has been made.



Abstrakt
Tato seminární práce se zaměřuje na problematiku cenzury Internetu v Turecku. Sumarizuje akademický článek a přidává krátký výzkum v kontextu české mediální krajiny. Práce ve své první části probírá článek Legitimisation of the role of the nation state: Understanding of and reactions to Internet censorship in Turkey. Jedná se o kvalitativní analýzu prostředí, ve kterém ve stále větší míře dochází k cenzuře stránek jako je YouTube. Analýza zkoumá, jakým způsobem uživatelé Internetu v Turecku chápou vládní zásahy v současné době a jaký druh vzdoru vůči nim používají. Druhá část práce přidává pohled na situaci z českého prostředí. Zjišťuje, jak často české deníky informovaly o cenzuře Internetu v Turecku a sumarizuje nejdůležitější informace ohledně problematiky, které se ve zkoumaných periodicích objevily.
