The
essay analyzes an article by Summer Harlow: Social
media and social movements: Facebook and an online Guatemalan justice movement
that moved offline. Harlow’s study describes an online justice movement in
Guatemala which then grew offline, as Harlow argues. This essay is devoted to
the presentation of the most important thoughts and problems which Harlow tried
to answer in her study and put her findings in a wider context.
