In
my essay I have decided to take a closer look at the problem of implementing
new media into education. The main idea was taken from the study of Edgar Huang
called Teaching Button-Pushing versus Teaching Thinking: The State of New Media
Education in US Universities. After reading and analyzing a few more articles,
reports and studies, I have tried to identify the main issues and problems and
their potential solutions. At the end of the paper I also mention one concrete
project (NMC Horizon Project) that tries to find a way to open up a debate and
contribute to solve the situation.
