Nahrazují tablety tradiční sledování televize?

Abstrakt 

Tato práce vychází z výzkumné studie Clarka F. Greera a Douglase A. Fergusona nazvané Tablet computers and traditional television (TV) viewing: Is iPad replacing TV?, která vyšla v květnu 2015 v časopise Convergence: The International Journal of Research into New Media Technologies. Autoři se ve své studii z roku 2011 pokusili prozkoumat, zda a případně do jaké míry ve Spojených státech amerických užívání iPadu za účelem sledování televizních obsahů nahrazovalo tradiční sledování televize. Primárním cílem této práce bude sumarizace a výklad zmiňované studie, ale zároveň se práce pokusí poskytnout aktuálnější data a statistiky, které by měly napomoci odpovědět na otázku autorů. 

Abstract

This essay is based on an exploratory study done by Clark F. Greer and Douglas A. Ferguson named Tablet computers and traditional television (TV) viewing: Is iPad replacing TV?. The study was published in Convergence: The International Journal of Research into New Media Technologies in May 2015. The authors attempted to examine whether and to what extent the iPad was replacing traditional TV viewing in the United States in 2011. The main goal of this essay is to summarize and to interpret the study, however, at the same, this essay tries to provide current data and statistics that should help provide an answer to the question mentioned above.
