Abstract
The seminar work deals with the topic of the role of social
media during the recent war and civilian conflicts in Arabian world. It
examines the characteristics of gatekeeping practices in social media. On the
basis of two critical studies it
analyzes activist organizations‘ use of online media and the relationship
between new and traditional media.
